Design Command were appointed to work on the interiors of a 146-key Mercure Hotel in Northampton.
We developed a design concept that celebrates the local heritage, creating a distinctive and inviting experience for guests.
The design of the bedrooms draws inspiration from Northampton’s vibrant market stalls and the historic hot air balloon ascents that once animated the nearby Market Square. These influences are woven into the interiors through thoughtfully selected artwork, colors, patterns, and textures, creating spaces that honor local history while ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Our approach balances the requirements of global brand identity with unique, local concepts, delivering a design that reflects its surroundings.
